    Weekend away

    by Doug » Wed Apr 06, 2016 7:45 pm

Some from another stay at Eden's parents home on the Murray river. With Evan, Simsy who brought his daughter along and of coarse Eden.
Also with the Canon Collective members in tow as well for a two day session of landscape, astro and nature photography.

The local rep bought a hatch back full of lenses, including some of the big guns, the 300mm f2.8, 500mm f4 and 200-400 f4 with built in 1.4x teleconverter.
A good time was had by all.

Thanks, got my wires crossed there.
She seemed in her element and taking it all in during the time there.

Really digging the first one, looks like it was a wild night though!

Great tones in the second, and wow what a bit of kit the lens used are too! Bit heavy for a day-to-day walkaround zoom though...

Love the shot of the chairs under Mal and Mable (yes they have named the Melaleuca trees).

the last two are great for me with their texture and contrast.

the tyre/cactus shot is cool and better to my eye than the first one (face on to the cacti feels better to me) and offers a bit more of the subject. Having the tyres darker is nice also.

When I get time to look at mine I will post a few but I didn't take a lot as it worked out.
I want to stand as close to the edge as I can without going over. Out on the edge you see all the kinds of things you can't see from the center.
