    New Manfrotto Tripod and Head

    by magnum » Sun Feb 05, 2012 5:26 pm

Well my several year old Optex tripod has been looking a bit flimsy of late. With a load limit of 1.5 kg the Canon 600D and even the small zoom was about on the limit.

Then I was passing Ted's Cameras at Garden City (Brisbane) today and saw a tripod and head kit from Manfrotto. A model 290 (actually 294A3) tripod and a 804RC2 tilt and pan head. Seemed a real solid set up and a load capacity of 4Kg seemed about right for the moment. Price was about right too $179.95. So I snapped it up.

Tell me I got the right gear (and a good deal).

'kenoath you did.. I know I paid a lot more than that for my 190XPROB with an 804RC2 3 way head. Mines been great, haven't used it as much as i intended to when i bought it but still worth it.

Collected the kit (tripod and head) from Teds today and assembled it this afternoon. Awesome outfit with my 600D on it looks and feels rock solid.

Registered them on Manfrotto website online tonight. I assume this gives me a 10 year warranty as claimed?
