    Blue Banded Bee

In the last 10 months I have seen a new native bee that has not been around before and it is a ripper.

They are a solo bee and use "buzz pollination" so every time it lands on a flower you can hear an audible BUZZ as it vibrates the whole flower.

I want to stand as close to the edge as I can without going over. Out on the edge you see all the kinds of things you can't see from the center.

What a thrill! Interesting pollenation technique too by the sounds. I love the first shot - Can almost hear the little brain going "Targeting..."
