    Back at it again

by Plays with Light » Wed Aug 19, 2015 1:01 pm

Lots of personal crap has had me not hold my 6D for the longest of times, but I'm now back at it. These reconnaisance images of the fountain/water-feature were taken on a completely overcast and foggy day at the Adelaide Airport, in the courtyard, between the carpark and the terminal. The idea is a twilight revisit.

The two images with skies were recovered in Lightroom, which was hit and miss in that regard, as can be clearly seen. Any feedback is more than welcome and fully appreciated.

Good to see your back at it mate.

cracker of a location, I have not noticed the area previously but will make an effort to sus it out soon.

I never use the car park so had not been aware it was there at all.

I'll bet you could nearly hear the security cameras tracking you :)

I'm pretty keen on the symmetry of the elevator/stairs area!

nice set and Like the lines in the second shot heaps
I want to stand as close to the edge as I can without going over. Out on the edge you see all the kinds of things you can't see from the center.

Thanks, Eden. The carpark was the image that Walter helped me with ages ago, where there were the strong graphic curves, looking up the exit ramp. I want a crack at the carpark with the symmetry, taken from the drop-off zone upstairs, so you get an elevated view of the courtyard.

Security were excellent, actually, fully understanding of me wanting some snaps, you just can't have any identifying logo's, etc... for some stupid reason.

Why did they have to put that ugly light post on the left in the first.
I'm going to refrain from using the "N" word and just say the first is a very pleasing image to look at

Thanks, David. There's a few of those multi-lamp-posts in the courtyard. I thought they looked like something from a prison, rather than a touristy type area, but what do I know? I'm not an architect!

The first one I feel is quite pedestrian and is probably 'the view' that most all photographers would find of the courtyard.

Great to have your presence and images back here again.
The Adelaide group should have a get together soon now that the weather seems to have stabilized, if you are up to it.

Nice set, #2 has a 60's tomorrow world look about it.
Probably not the vibe the architects where after, it could just be how you have presented it, but I like it.

Thanks for the warm welcome back, Doug. I loved your 60's future reaction. You got it in one!

I'll definitely be there for a photo shoot day. The new, new meds are much better for me & I'm finally feeling human again!

Even though I don't know you well, it's good to hear things are coming good for you and as a bonus we all get to enjoy your photography :mates:

Thanks, David. I hope your mums situation calms down for her, it's not a nice ride at all.

Now that I've flooded the forum again, I'll slow down a bit to a calmer pace, with only a few posts a week.
