    Lightroom 4 help

    by GeoffM » Sat May 18, 2013 9:25 pm

I have been using Lightroom since day one (and was a user of the previously free program before Adobe bought them out) and have never had this issue until now and cannot fathom how to correct it. Any users out there that can offer a solution?

    The issue:

All my photos are imported to the hard drive in the following file structure: My Pictures>YEAR>MONTH>DATE

i.e. for a photo taken today: My Pictures>2013>May>2013-05-18

In the past and within the library module what normally happens is the total number of images taken in each year/month/day are displayed to the right of the file location. But recently the total number of images shown for year/month is '0' if I expand the file structure down to the day then the number of images taken on any day is displayed.

Can anyone explain how I get the program to display number of images taken for the month and year?

    Thanks.

    Hi,
If you go click on the "+" next to "Folders" and expand the options, the last one is "Show Photos in Subfolders". That should solve your problem. Probably you de-activated by mistake or there is some strange short-cut that you pressed.

    Cheers,
