    Nero Express

    by Kristine65 » Wed Oct 08, 2008 9:35 pm

Does anyone here use or know Nero?

I'm trying to burn 176 images from a wedding to a disk and Nero wont let me put more than 99 files on the disk even though there's enough room for more.

I'm using Nero Express 6, Image Recorder (CD-R/RW) to burn a Video CD.

Appreciate any help that may come my way.

    TIA
    K

Arrrrrrrr Nero.............I thought I had washed those memories away

I had the same issues of finding my way around it, so I dumped it.

    Sorry I can't help.

CS3 picture package for the slide shows. I stopped doing them though and don't supply a disk with any images, only prints.

I'm currently using Nero to burn a dual layered DVD with over 1800 jpeg files on it - as I'm typing this very reply.
Have been using it to cut stuff to disc (cd as well as single & dual layer dvd) for years with no probs whatsoever (apart from when I've had media player running at the same time)
Have you tried having the files inside of a folder first? & cutting the whole folder instead of individual files?
Haven't tried to cut vcd though.

    Krissy,
I go to Nero smart start than choose CD or DVD ,
make a data cd or dvd than drag the folder with files in to the left side of the browser window named new rename to whatever than burn.
    Hope this helps.

    OK!

I tried to go the DVD way but neither the .jpg nor .tiff files would show in the window.

Could someone give me a tip on just how to do that?

    Thanks

    Kristene,

Are you trying to burn a VCD slideshow? I think this may be your 99 image limit.

If you want just a cd full of images, choose a data cd and you should be able to burn upto the capacity of the disk.

    Regards

    I FAIL!!!!!!!!!111!!1!!!!1

Instead of burning to a DVD, I got no files. So I changed the recorder setting to my burner (it was Image Recorder last time) and Nero told me that my Sony DVD +R 4.7GB disk wasn't big enough for 750MBs of files.

This is doing my head in

You said you tried it in your DVD player, I'm assuming that means you want a slideshow.

What you are trying to create is essentially a movie. Nero is building a slideshow then turning it into video, which makes the filesize much larger than space taken up just by normal jpegs.

If I remember correctly while Neros does have alimit on how many images you can use you can however have multiple slideshows on one DVD, so for example if you had nearly 200 images you could get away with having two slideshows with a menu at the begining to select which slideshow to play.

If however you want it all in one movie then you're using the wrong program. Microsoft had a program called PhotoStory 3 which I feel would do what you want. It used to be available for download from Microsoft's website, just do a search for Photostoy 3.

Actually, forget the search, I found it Here

Have you tried (Free) Googles Picasa 2? it's an easy to use photo storage and limited editing program The burning of photos to disc is a simple step and you get a slide show.

    Thanks guys.

I'm not really trying to make a slideshow. I just want to put all the files on 2 disks... 1 so they can print the files they want and another on a DVD so the folks that'll get it can see the shots on their tele, cause they don't have a computer.

Silly thing is I've done it before  I'm so blonde sometimes!
