    60mm 105mm Micro for portraits?

    Hi

does anyone here use the 60mm and 105mm macro lenses for portraits? can you post some samples ? why would you use them instead of the typical portrait lense of 85mm or 50mm 1.4 /1.8.or 70-200 F2.8?

Not yet, but I'm planning on getting the 60mm soonish. Not specifically for portraits, but no reason why not
I guess you would use them if you want a nice really really close shot, or if you don't have an 85 or 50 or you couldn't be bothered getting the log (70-200) out of the bag.

Tokina 100mm macro near enough for you 8)

When I was shooting Nikon I had and used both the 60 (AFD) and 105 (AFS) micro lenses for portraiture and they were my go to lenses for portraits, and yes I also had a 50 and 70-200. The only downside in comparison to a 50 or 85 would be the marginally slower AF speed. The advantage of course is the ability to focus closer.

Thanks for that .. i was keen for information specifically on the 60mm as its so close in mm to the very expensive 58mm. what is the bokeh like on the 60mm micro ?
