I recently was in Queenstown NZ and took a million pictures of the mountains about the town. I also went onto Milford Sound (in the pouring rain) and took some pics.
I noticed a lot of my pics of the mountains were washed out (like below.) I can adjust the contrast and brightness after the event but am somewhat disappointed with the 'raw' image. Any hints? I am uising a Nikon D3100 with a 18-55mm lens and auto ISO.
When on Milford Sound, in the pouring rain I took a LOT of pics but they seem effected by the weather. Any tips on firstly keeping a camera dry (I wrapped it around the lens in a towel) and also shooting distance in rain?
