    playing with the Kenko tubes

    by Eden » Sat Feb 23, 2013 11:03 am

had a play with the Kenko tubes and the old non IS and non USM 100mm macro

I think I am going to need a good quality tripod (or a gorilla tripod) and a slide for some shots

the DOF is pretty slim with the full set of tubes on

the first 3 shots I have cropped away 1/4 to 1/3 of the photo and the last is 2/3 to 3/4 cropped away and I have only used the crappy windows image editor to play a bit

this tiny mantis is only 15 - 20mm long and lives in our mint

the usual spider shot as I love spiders

and also the usual fly shot as they amaze me

then the cropped section ( I know I have over edited this and over sharpened it but it was done for the rellies on facebook and I will do a better job of it later )

now to pick up a reversing ring on ebay ( under $10 with postage included :) )

Oh well , off to work

have a great weekend folks !

    cheers eden
I want to stand as close to the edge as I can without going over. Out on the edge you see all the kinds of things you can't see from the center.
