EXIF is the "electronic" signature of a digital photo. It contains amongst other things, the camera, lens, shutter speed, date etc etc.

Most programs such as photoshop, Acdsee, BreezeBrowser.

But some peoples workflow with digital images can strip the exif out of the image. So be wary of this.

    Hi
I do not understand this requirement?
    5. Two copies of the image are to be submitted, one with EXIF intact and one without.

why are two needed? not that it's a hassle to upload two, I am just wondering.
    Thanks
    Andrew

The EXIF version is used to validate the time of capture.
The non EXIF is used for display and voting, this removes the knowing what camera took the shot
and to some extend, therefore, perhaps who may have taken the shot.
The non exif version is an attempt to level the playing field.
