Sunshine Coast M&G - Now with images

    by Tim » Mon Oct 22, 2007 5:28 pm

Our Fearless Leader (Sir Tristram) and his sidekick (boggy) will be visiting our area in November for a few days work... but he has said he will try and keep one day clear for a M&G, and Sunday would be his best option

We are looking at options... one option suggested by Sir T was possibly doing a 4wd beach run.. this will require members with 4wds or members with 4wds and willing to share a few seats.. and travel along Noosa (Nuuuuuuuuusaaa!) north shore, along rainbow beach and head inland just after Double Island Point... this is a pretty popular M&G for Xmas time.. but might be wise to hold it earlier this year.. less crowds.. less heat.. and less idiots driving the beach...

Or.. we look at another local option and visit the local gardens and waterfalls and such.. or something along those lines...

So C'mon folks... Sunshine Coast or Brisbane or Gympie or Bundaberg (Maybe? lol) jump in and say yes... the last M&G was rather dissapointing... support the forum and meet the awesome people you speak to on the forums

    Looking forward to input

If we do head up Rainbow beach I can give a big recommendation for this trip. I did it last year with the forum and it was fantasic.

So please put your hand up to come along and enjoy a great day out.

I'm looking forward to this again.

    Thanks Tim.

Well I have checked my diary and it is clear so this little duck and his vehicle is available.

Last exam for the year is on the Thursday prior :D So, at this stage, and whatever the plan, I should be there.

John, do you know of any 4x4 hire places up there that allow you to take them onto the beach?

John I am fairly sure that most do which is why they are situated there. Certainly the ones near Fraser all do. I'll see what I can find out about others. Where will you be staying?

Boggy and I are staying in the Brisabne CBD and were going to drive up but if there is a recommendation for somewhere to stay on Sat night closer to the start point then we may drive up Sat night and then be fresh for the Sun morn.
