this guy is an ebay seller

I believe his sole purpose here is to peddle stuff and contribute in no other meaningful way.

I deleted an ad from him the other day citing the rule of less then 30 posts

    and one image.

he has just read the message I sent him about this matter,

and is now posting up a storm,
getting his post count up to 30 imho
so he can then sell stuff, again imho
been watching him post away the last hour or so.

been a member for a coupla months made like 3 posts,
gets chipped for selling with out the required number of posts
    and now commenting on everything.

I know what I think about this,
    wonder what others think??

I will be very surprised if he contributes in a meaningful way after his post count gets up to 30.

Imho, he has no place on the forum if this is his intention

I have just read all of his posts and I tend to agree.

My view is that the market place is for members to sell their used goods not for retailers to peddle their wares.

    If in doubt wack him.

Steve no harm in waiting to see. I suspect he may tire before getting the required number of posts up. In any case as John says he can always be whacked later.

He has really ticked me off over the past few days dragging up old threads. May be time to act.

John PMed him and he has agreed to stop selling,
and wants to remain a member

however, he is PMing anyone who is asking to buy anything.

I have had a couple of PMs forwarded to me about this.

the guy does want to remain a member, but only so he can PM members and sell stuff behind our back.

If I have had 2 people advise me that they have received unsolicited PMs from him offering to sell stuff,
I can only guess at how many others may be involved.

this is akin to spamming the forum and I believe he should go

he sure as heck aint gonna contribute other wise

it would also be amusing to turn of his PM capability and see if he complains..........
