The price was the major tipping point AJ

I looked at the Fuji and checked out the "Xf-60mm F/2.4 Lens" being the one thing I wanted if I got the XA-1 or XE-1 and couldn't find it cheaper than $460 direct from China.

    Just the lens!

So I went for the EOS-M (as I have a couple of lenses plus the 100mm macro)

    and got

    Canon EOS M Camera (Black)
    Canon EF-M 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM Lens
    Canon EF-M 22mm f/2.0 STM Lens
    Canon 90EX Speedlite
    2 x Front Lens Caps
    Battery Charger (LC-E12)
    Battery Pack (LP-E12)
    USB Cable (IFC-130U)
    Strap EM-100DB
    EOS DIGITAL Solution Disc
EOS Instruction Manual Disc x 2
    Instruction Manual
    Warranty from Canon Australia

    PLUS

Bonus Battery, Camera Bag and 16gig class10 SD Memory Card

Then the eos adapter $75 (post included)
and the FD adapter $13.68 (post included)

    All for $528.68

The EF-M and FD-M adapter are glassless so there is no "1 f stop loss" or "clarity loss" with extra "cheap glass" as with the FD - EOS adapter, so the old FD 50mm F1.4 should give me just that.

My only real gripe with it is that my fingers touch the edge of the touch screen while shooting and move the focus point so I will invest in a silicon skin for $68 to stop me wrapping my hands around it so much.

The 22mm F2.0 is a cracker of a lens and the raynox 250 lend screws straight onto its 43mm filter thread

the firmware update is heaps faster and I have no issue with focus speed at all.

the adapters are 2 weeks away so enjoy the peace while it lasts :(
