    June monthly challenge

    by Busiboy » Tue May 22, 2012 6:16 pm

The theme for the month is

    Self Portrait

It can be a simple portrait of yourself in front of a boring white wall. (BORING)

    or

It can be something about you that communicates to the viewer, who really doesn't know you, something about you.

There is no winner or loser so feel free to interpret as you see fit, the key objective is to not have to explain the link to the viewer.

There is NO right or wrong way to interpret this, feel free to manipulate the subject as you wish.

I'd rather people didn't discuss the topic beforehand and went out, shot it and submitted to see what we all come up with singularly.

There are no rules other than no images to be posted until the later part of the month.

Again, there are NO hard and fasts here, interpret and push it as you see fit, but you shouldn't need to explain the image to the viewer in detail, a single line intro is acceptable though.

A quality image that you have a month to prepare.

This sounds like a cool challenge, I have a few ideas.

First time I have seen the post and with 100 views I thought there might be more shots, why don't we extend it to the June - July challenge.

The shot posted is a real cracker, shows the face and tells the story. I wonder how many of us work in jobs where the flouro is an essential part of wardrobe.

I had forgotten this too. I was thinking of the shot Walter put up some time ago, of himself with the large ground glass screen of his camera.

I'd support extending the deadline, and might even attempt to "disguise" my ugly mush.

Yep, I'd like to see another month for this if possible - I had a couple of plans for this one, but have had some personal business happening over the last few weeks that has drawn my attention away.

Great shot there too Ion...

largely forgotten project with little interest it would seem.

I don't mind taking the occasional selfie, mainly because it's easier to direct someone that knows what you are trying to achieve.

I do have an idea that I've been wanting to try for a while so I'll give it a go.

Meanwhile, here's one I prepared earlier.

    Much, much earlier.
