Has anyone purchased gear from DWI ?? - if yes how were they to deal with ?? punctual ?? reliable ??

Thinking of a fairly substantial purchase - and they have the best price now tht HK Supplies is gone - so just thought I would research them before buying.

I bought from them once about a year ago (Tamron 90mm macro) and I just ordered a new SB-900 from them yesterday (got my email today indicating it will ship in the next 24 hrs).

I had no issues with them and delivery was prompt - other than for my first order they sent me a different model UV filter with my order - I said I was fine with it however they did offer to swap them over - I stopped using UV's soon after that anyway so the point is moot now.

I've had nothing but luck with them. I've bought two Canon s90's there, my 70-200mm f/2.8 VRII & a spare battery. My Dad has bought a 55-200, 35mm f/1.8 & battery from there too without issue.

Delivery is pretty quick (3-4 days for me).

One downside is that while lenses have international warranties, often that's not covered if it's not an "Authorised" dealer. That said, DWI do offer a 1 year warranty I believe (or you can pick up a Mack warranty to be extra safe).

I bought my SB900 from them, best price by a mile. Service was efficient and it arrived in 1-2 days!

If the invoice amount is over Aus$1000.00 you will be liable for 10% GST and Customs charges on the full amount. You need to factor that into your costs so that if you do get charged it doesn't come as a shock. If you don't then that's a bonus.

Last Oct I got my D90 body from them.
Then earlier this year I ordered some extra batteries and grip for it.
    So far no problems.

Hi, I am thinking of buying a lens from DWI, I thought it would come from their offices in Australia, but will it come from overseas and I would have to pay GST on it??
