    Canon FD 200 2.8

    by Eden » Sat Dec 07, 2013 8:15 pm

Had to get outside to try my $55 just acquired lens and the cheapie eos adapter it came with (I have a Af confirm with infinity focus on order from ebay for $39.53 postage included)

Im giving it a BIG tick as it is making me happy.

I find it clear and smooth to use and the length made it easy to hand hold for these shots, it is fairly weighty but feels good and balanced on the camera

With the cheapie adapter on it the camera gave NO aperture value in the display and the adapter coming from ebay supposedly gives a 1.4 value to the camera but this means little to me still :( .

    anyhow here are the shots

It was nice to hold the camera again.

I want to stand as close to the edge as I can without going over. Out on the edge you see all the kinds of things you can't see from the center.

It is certainly delivering the goods.
The flower shot is showing signs of nice bokeh.
You definitely got a bargain there.

Looks good to me mate. Like the shots from the subject point of view, but the performance of the optics is just as impressive. Great work, and a good reminder that it isn't all about how many acronyms you put after the focal length.

That flower viewed large is the biz! Great lens, used really well. Hopefully this fires up your passion for photography even more!
