    Revisit of Adelaide city meetup

    by Doug » Thu May 16, 2013 12:48 am

Just noticed the Adelaide gang have been on tonight.

I'm keen to go back in the weekend and do the early morning part of the Adelaide city shot again to revisit some of the shots I took but with my new toy, a 6D.

I know it is a little short notice, but if anyone has the early morning free they are most welcome to join we. Maybe you have shots also you want to try again.

The forecast for the weekend looks better than what we have been getting over the week. I'm thinking Sunday morning at this stage because the forecast mentioned the word sunny.

So I'll throw a time out there of 4:00 am Sunday (this Sunday 19th), same meeting place. I'm flexible on which day and what we do ie, just till after sun rise, more of the day, drive to a new area later etc.

Anyone else from Adelaide reading this is welcome to come along also. Its just an informal meet up to take before sun rise pictures in and around the Torrens river part of the city.

Here is Evan's recycled map from the last meetup. I would meet anyone who can make it along, in the road side parking area indicated with a #1 red rectangle.

Let me know if you can make it and what suits you for day of choice.

My new camera isn't mine.... It's on loan from Panasonic for a couple of weeks to try out!!

There is a techy community that looks at/trials/learns about and discusses various Panasonic products (existing and upcoming). Four regular Joe's with an interest in photography got selected, so i've got two weeks to play and play hard.

I am up for Sunday morning (might be a bit more bleary eyed than normal).

    0400...
    Geez, you guys are keen.
Not sure if I'm that keen, but getting out and doing some sunrise pics in that part of the world has been on my agenda for a while.
Not having to do it solo might just be the incentive I need.
    We'll see how I go.
    Regards,
    Phil

I can tell you hand on heart, that with the other guys here, the hardest part is just getting out of bed.....

Looking at your sig, I'm pretty sure none of us will teach you much (anything.....), but getting out and discussing all things photog is just fun, plus we get to eat stuff for breakfast that the missus would frown at!!

    Hi everyone

I've been watching your exploits from the wings and unfortunately timings have not suited ie Pt Adel was Clipsal weekend.

As with this weekend - V8 telecasts from Austin, Texas are commencing 4:30am Sunday & Monday mornings. :(

So I will be up in the wee small houris but for a different purpose - Phil (Helga) has obviously overlooked.....

Anyway will certainly join you intreped people in the future when things align.....

....oh yeah, don't worry Helga could still learn a thing or two - shooting sharp would be a good beginning

    Cheers
    Wasa

Well I'm impressed, full turn out with a few days notice :)

Hope you can make it philwillmedia.

I was thinking after sun rise we could move the base of operation to the Botanic gardens side car park (free parking on Sunday) and explorer a new area. There are the gardens of coarse and the wine centre on the corner has some interesting features perhaps work our way into the city but from a different end this time.

All open for discussion before or on the day of coarse.

Does someone want to PM their mobile to Wasasaw if he thinks he could make it later in the morning. See what he says.

Im still stuck with my 550d Simsy and will be for a while as Im quite happy with it.

but the little camera bag I had needs upgrading to a camera wheelbarrow!

I cannot walk past a second hand shop now without peeking to see if they have any old lenses.

    Looking forward to Sunday

    4am :dug:
