Went on a three hour cruise from the Tangalooma Island Resort, on Moreton Island, Qld, at the end of August this year. Here's a few images that I took of the Humpbacks doing their thing. Posted in order of when I took them.
This next one was a very rare sight of a Humpback doing something called "Tail-sailing", it's not something seen very often for this particular species of whale. Basically, the whale inverts itself and remains motionless in this position, with its tail sticking up out of the water. Scientists still don't have any idea why whales do it, and they had a wet-dream back in 2016 when a whale was captured doing this with video footage taken from a drone by researchers off the coast of Hawaii.
Feedback and honest, constructive criticism is greatly appreciated.
